Titan OS strengthens its position as a leading independent European TV OS by joining OKAST’s ASAP4EU
Sep 10, 2024
ASAP4EU is an accelerator for FAST and AVOD advertising in the region
Leveraging the deep local expertise of Titan OS (European independent OS and CTV marketplace) and its members OKAST, Broadpeak and Impresa, the consortium will build a robust European advertising and content monetisation ecosystem.
Barcelona, 10th September, 2024 - Titan OS S.L. (Titan OS), the Barcelona-based technology, entertainment and advertising company, today announces its participation in the ASAP4EU consortium, an EU-funded initiative to develop an advanced solution to optimise advertising on FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) and AVOD (Advertising Video on Demand) in Europe.
ASAP4EU marks another step in Titan OS' European expansion, leveraging its strong local expertise to develop a European-focused advertising solution with the potential for global scalability.
This initiative brings Titan OS together with a group of companies sharing European roots and deep market understanding: OKAST (a pioneer in OTT platforms and FAST channels), Broadpeak (a specialist in CDN infrastructure and ad insertion technologies through its SaaS platform) and Impresa (the largest private media group in Portugal).
The consortium's mission is to build a robust advertising network to strengthen the competitiveness of European players and safeguard the cultural and economic sovereignty of Europe in the rapidly evolving audiovisual landscape. Within this framework, Titan OS will continue its mission of creating a better TV experience. By providing content owners with new distribution channels, enabling advertisers to reach hard-to-reach audiences with relevant messages, and helping viewers discover content easily, Titan OS is creating a win-win solution to establish the infrastructure for a European content monetisation ecosystem.
"Unlike other regions where a one-size-fits-all approach may work, the European market demands strategies tailored to local needs, whether it's distribution, content localisation, audience targeting, or navigating complex regulations. This consortium, deeply rooted in Europe, understands these market dynamics very well. With local teams in every key European market, Titan OS is positioned to bring ASAP4EU the scale needed to help content partners and advertisers reach hard-to-reach audiences and unlock new monetisation opportunities," said Tim Edwards, COO at Titan OS.
“We are delighted to have Titan OS joining our consortium. With their central position in the value chain, as a TV OS, it significantly enhances our ability to deliver highly personalised and targeted advertising solutions, and our ability to propose a complete European-centric solution for advanced advertising.” Said Cédric Monnier, CEO OKAST and coordinator of ASAP4EU.
Titan OS already powers Philips Smart TVs across Europe and will soon roll out to other brands and markets and offers a unique combination of exclusive inventory and first-party data from millions of monthly active users. This, combined with the ability to extend campaigns through the Titan Ads CTV marketplace, provides advertisers with powerful tools to deliver highly targeted campaigns based on consumer preferences and behaviours, benefiting from retail data partnerships with major European retailers such as Currys and Boulanger. Titan OS enables content owners and advertisers to reach exclusive audiences and, as the platform scales, even broader audiences.
